However, Lois keeps a close watch on him and often makes decisions she believes will benefit his future education. In the series finale, it is revealed that she has always pushed him so hard because she believes he has the potential to become the President of the United States and help improve the lives of lower-class families like their own. Malcolm’s best friend is Stevie Kenarban.
