Obi Okoli Biography

Obi Okoli (born 20 April 1952) is a veteran Nigerian actor, film director, producer, broadcaster, scriptwriter, lecturer, and filmmaker. Popularly known by the nickname “Obi Idejimba,” he was born in Ogboji, Anambra State, Nigeria, and is one of the pioneers of Nollywood. With a career spanning more than four decades, he has made significant contributions to Nigeria’s film and television industries through acting, directing, producing, and mentoring younger talents.

During his nearly two decades at NTA, he produced television dramas, documentaries, educational programmes, and news content, earning recognition for his creativity and professionalism.
